Introduction
Many operations require that periodic
samples of the powders being processed, be taken and
evaluated in the laboratory for various aspects of quality.
Obtaining these samples can introduce a few challenges
to the operating personnel:
The source that the sample must be taken from is not always in a convenient or safe location.
Manual sampling can be dirty and dusty or even dangerous.
Traditional "automatic samplers" with few moving parts, are only reliable with free flowing products. Others incorporate motor driven augers to extract the sample and are maintenance prone.
Most samplers protrude into the flow of product, even when not in use, making them far less sanitary and hard to clean.
